College Counseling Appointment Portal

College Counseling is able to offer meetings VIRTUALLY. Select the appointment type to make a booking. After your meeting is booked, your College Counselor will contact you directly with meeting instructions.

Optional Financial Aid Package/Final Decision Meeting (Seniors Only)

Families can receive help deciphering and comparing their financial aid packages from colleges. Please bring all financial aid award letters to the meeting.

Parents (and all visitors to Aspen High School) must first check-in with the front office before coming up to the College Counseling office/Mezzanine.

1st Individual Junior & Parent Meeting with College Counseling

First individual Junior meeting with College Counseling to discuss post-secondary options, schools and programs of interest, a testing plan, college search/application process, and college visits/campus tours.

Prior to the meeting students and parents are asked to complete a short intake survey which can be found on the 11th Grade Page of the College Counseling section of the school’s website.

2nd Individual Junior & Parent Meeting with College Counseling

Second Individual Junior Meeting to discuss college research/college list, potential college tours, testing update, teacher recommendations, summer plans (work/internships/programs), parent response form; application strategy (Early Decision/Early Action/Regular Decision) and essay requirements.

Prior to this meeting, we ask that Juniors review the colleges in their “Colleges I’m thinking about” section of Naviance so we can work on refining your list.

All parents and visitors to Aspen High School are asked to sign in at the front office before visiting us in College Counseling on the Mezzanine level.

Optional 3rd Junior & Parent Meeting with College Counseling

An optional third individual meeting may be scheduled to touch base regarding your summer to-do list and college search.

Application Submission Meeting (Seniors Only)

Please bring your edited and proof-read personal essay, activities list, and supplements. A credit card will be needed for the application fee. After you submit you’ll ring the bell to celebrate!

Discuss college preparation /school list/potential early application deadlines/Naviance etc. The student should be prepared to explain what they are working on, need help with or have questions about, and will bring any application components completed to the meeting.

2nd Individual Senior & Parent Meeting with College Counseling

Review and finalize the college list and potential submission dates. Review the college essay, supplemental essays, and activities.
